Chair:

Wendy Kubasik

Wendy Kubasik is the Director of Administration in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Toronto. Together with Paula Smellie, Wendy is a co-founder of the Annual GBA Retreat which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2017, and was recognized with a university-wide Stepping Up Award. She has also served as GBA Chair for three terms, and spent one term as the Chair of the GBA Human Resources sub-committee.

Wendy has over 16 years of experience in the AHSC context. Her experiences have allowed her to gain extensive knowledge around strategy and planning, financial management, data and information management, operations, organizational effectiveness, human resources management, performance, productivity and change management. A recent graduate of OISE’s doctoral program on higher education leadership, her leadership style and results emphasize strategic thinking, flexibility and innovation. Wendy believes in “divergent thinking” and disciplined innovation: pushing the status quo, and trying new things.
